Attention all swim families who live in the City of Huntington Beach:
Opportunity to Suggest New City Aquatics Center Pool!

Huntington Beach is currently in desperate need of a high quality, city run and city accessible swimming pool and aquatic facility. The only pools which are available for the use of swim and water polo clubs like OC Riptide are run by the local school districts. There is only one city owned swimming pool located at the City Gym on Palm and 15th street. It is not large enough to host a swim team or a swim workout and is booked to maximum capacity with swim lessons, adult classes, and the occasional recreational swim session.

The City of Huntington Beach is currently creating a new Parks & Recreation General Plan, which will outline the current and future needs for parks and recreation facilities over the next 15 to 20 years.

We need the city to build an aquatic facility with at least one or more 50 meter pools!

In order to do this, we must have community input at the next Parks & Recreation Planning workshop, which is specifically geared toward assessing the needs of organized sports in Huntington Beach.

We Need Many Voices to Request an Aquatic Facility for Huntington Beach at this Workshop!!

Please Join Us on Thursday, October 30th from 6:30-9 PM at the Rogers Sr. Center on 17th Street and Orange Street in Downtown Huntington Beach.
